The ideal Relationship

How to make a relationship work

First and foremost, I have looked online for serve-serve relationship case studies, but did not per say come across that exact case. Things like work relationships dominated most search engines, like Servant leadership. Which we will get more into later. Right now though, since I did not find an ideal case study, I shall give my opinion and the reasons why, then leave this up to discussion after.

There IS a ton of complexity here, so I will try to keep this short and as general as possible. The ideal relationship is the serve-serve relationship, in every single aspect. What I mean by this serve-serve ideal is, putting oneself last and others first. If both parties are committed this, there are literally no downsides. Both party’s needs will be met. Now I understand that there are extremes of this, like one party expecting you and/or needing you to hangout every day, while you are literally not able to do this. Thus, their needs are not being met. Or one/both parties are exhausted because of a long day. This is where communication plays a big factor. Being able to understand one’s own needs/wants is extremely important. So that we can communicate that to the other party. If both parties can agree to what each other needs/wants, then this is the most ideal. This is what we strive for, the ideal. You wont really be able to achieve this if we are being realistic about it, but something to strive for, a GOAL, for every interaction, with those around you.
